Last month, the CMPartners team swapped the office for the start line at the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS. We ran for a cause that matters to all of us: Australia's native wildlife.

A world-class stage

The TCS Sydney Marathon is the seventh Abbott World Marathon Major, with more than 40,000 runners from over 140 countries taking part in 2026. The route takes in landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It's a demanding, unforgettable day, and it gave our team a challenge worth rallying behind.

Why wildlife?

Australia is home to some of the most unique and beautiful animals on the planet, and they rely on people who are willing to step in when they need help. That's why we chose to fundraise for Wildlife Recovery Australia (WRA).

WRA was a Gold Charity Partner of the 2026 event, and its hospitals and rehabilitation centres care for sick, injured and orphaned native animals. Every dollar raised goes toward treating, protecting and returning these animals to the wild.

More than a race

For our team, this was never only about the finish line. Training together, keeping each other accountable and turning up for early-morning runs became part of the story. Our colleagues, clients, friends and families backed us throughout, and that support kept us going when the kilometres got tough.

Australians have always come together in times of need, and this was our way of doing the same. The future of our wildlife matters, and it needs practical support.

The result

Together, the team raised $9201 for Wildlife Recovery Australia. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our page or cheered us on. Every contribution helps care for animals that can't ask for help themselves.

We're proud to have represented CMPartners on the streets of Sydney, and prouder still to have done it for the animals that make Australia so special.
